Overview

The BULLDOG® BD2KLV Variable Speed is a heavy-duty, portable HEPA air scrubber/negative air machine built for abatement, restoration, healthcare construction, and any critical-containment job site. A rugged steel cabinet, true HEPA final filtration (99.97% @ 0.3 µm), and a variable-speed blower give you precise control from light maintenance to full negative-pressure work. Roll it in, duct it up, dial the CFM you need, and get to work.

Installation (setup & use)

1. Position & secure the unit on a level surface; lock the swivel casters.

2. Choose your mode:

   • Negative pressure: Place inside containment and duct the outlet outside the work area; or place outside and duct the inlet into containment.

   • Recirculation: Run un-ducted or loop duct to return filtered air to the room.

   • Positive pressure: Duct the outlet to supply filtered air into a protected zone.

3. Ducting: Attach 12" flex duct with band clamps; minimize sharp bends and long runs.

4. Power: Plug into a dedicated 120 V / 15 A circuit. Avoid additional external speed controls.

5. Start & set: Power on and adjust the variable-speed dial to achieve target CFM/pressure (verify with a differential pressure gauge when running containment).

6. Filter checks: Inspect the prefilter frequently; replace when the indicator shows elevated restriction or when visibly loaded to maintain performance.

Important Details

• Designed for indoor, non-hazardous environments; do not use in explosive/IDLH atmospheres or for corrosive/solvent vapors without proper engineering controls.

• Published airflow is measured with clean filters and minimal ducting; real-world CFM drops with filter loading, long duct runs, bends, and lower line voltage.

• For construction infection control and abatement, typical targets are ≥ 6 ACH; size equipment with a safety margin to account for losses and filter loading.

• Replace prefilters regularly to protect HEPA life; only use correctly sized, sealed filters to maintain capture efficiency.

Warranty

1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser (consumable filters excluded). Misuse, improper ducting, and non-approved parts may void coverage. Keep proof of purchase for service.
